Conroe Boating Accident Leads to Arrests

Written by Greg on May 9, 2018

An incident where a boat hit a stump on Lake Conroe led to the arrest of three people this week.

Late Monday evening, authorities from Montgomery County Precinct 1 responded to a 911 call for help after a boat hit a stump and was taking on water. A rescue team was dispatched to help the five occupants to safety.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the boat accident on a lake that is known as the deadliest Lake in Texas.

Unfortunately for one of the occupants of the boat, a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of operating a boat while intoxicated. Two other occupants were arrested because they allegedly had outstanding warrants.

Lake Conroe is widely known to have stumps that are not visible from the surface that can lead to damage to boats for jet skis.
