2 Fatal Houston Auto Accidents Last Weekend

The Houston Police Department announced that they were investigating to separate fatal accidents in Houston. The first accident happened on Interstate 45 N. just before 8 PM on October 5th. It was a hit and run accident involving a 38-year-old female victim.

According to the report, a driver of a white Chevrolet SUV somehow was pushed or fell out of a vehicle on the highway and was struck by a passing vehicle. The victim was hit by a white Ford Explorer driven by an unknown person described as a Hispanic female.

A second fatal accident happened at 4700 Alameda Genoa at 2:40 AM on Sunday, October 6th. Two deceased victims have yet to be identified by HPD. According to the reports, a driver of a green Honda Accord traveling south on MLK Boulevard turn left onto Almeda Genoa.

That car was struck by an F 150 pickup truck that then rolled over and caught fire. Both the driver and the passenger of the pickup truck perished at the scene. The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in this accident.

Each weekend Houston has numerous fatal car accidents. Drive safely so your name does not appear in the newspaper as a memorial.
